Inspection vs Detection

Inspection vs Detection

"Canine inspection" and "canine detection" are terms used to describe the use of specially trained dogs for identifying certain substances or conditions. While they are closely related, there can be a subtle distinction between the two terms:

  • Canine Inspection

Not sure if you have bed bugs? Canine bed bug inspection refers to the broader process of using trained dogs to assess an area, object, or environment for the presence bed bugs. It involves the dog and its handler systematically going through an area to identify the scent of bed bugs. This process often includes a combination of the dog's scent detection abilities and the handler's guidance. Canine bed bug inspections involve a more thorough examination of an area to ensure that the bed bugs are identified.

  • Canine Detection

Canine bed bug detection, on the other hand, focuses specifically on the dog's ability to locate and identify the scent of the bed bugs. It emphasizes the dog's highly sensitive capabilities to detect even trace amounts of the target substance or condition. The term "detection" highlights the dog's role as a sensor capable of recognizing the scent. Canine bed bug detection highlights the canines unique ability to detect a scent often in places that might not be immdeiately visible.

Our dogs are trained to detect bed bugs and are far more accurate than human-eye test. They can inspect a room in minutes with visual confirmation from their handler.
